Fatima Elizabeth (FE) is the umbrella organisation under which several projects are being conducted and has been in operation for the past four years. Primarily, FE is a weekend Islamic school (madrasah) and has had several community ventures. These include FE Academy (madrasah), FE Cycle Club, FE Scouts. Accordingly, FE was recently awarded £10,000 from TFL (Transport for London) to promote other mosques to start cycling to induce healthy lifestyles. Recently, in early 2018 that FE opened up its FEIISP leg which aims to promote discussions and dialogues in the territory of PSR. Initially it was only Sheikh Hamid, Sheikh Usman and Dr. Shoaib who were involved in the team. However, since then the team has expanded and grown stronger to ten members, each carrying different skill sets and expertise in a variety of fields of knowledge that fortunately converged on a common core, that is, the crosstalk between Islam, Science and Philosophy.
The team constitutes a mix of scientists, philosophers, theologians, historians, educationists and media and graphic design experts. This variety has expanded the different kinds of topics, events and deliverables that can be covered and produced by FEIISP.
The focus and direction of the FEIISP is solely to provide conferences, research, videos and teaching materials and platforms on PSR for Islamic seminaries and the wider public. FEIISP is a non-denominational entity and is open to work with anyone willing to engage with topics related PSR.
